RIBIT

Reading In Bed Is Terrific

We would like you and your child to either share a story together at bedtime, listen to your child read at bedtime or give your child a time slot to read before bedtime. It can be the school reading book or your own book that you are sharing and reading.

Research shows that children who read are five times more likely to achieve greater results from school through the exposure of language, words, meanings, imagination, ideas etc

If your child reads in bed, when they come to school the next day they will tick their name off on a class list.  If they complete RIBIT for a whole week they will be awarded a RIBIT certificate. They will also be entered into the RIBIT reading reward event at the end of every half-term and may be picked out for a reading treat.
